Senior Citizen Assistant
Introduction
Speech recognition and text-to-speech technology are from the fast growing engineering technologies. They have a number of applications in different areas and provides potential benefits. I am dealing with developing a device “Senior Citizen Assistant” with use these technology under IOT.
Birth,
infancy, adolescence, youth, old age and death are very familiar stages
in the natural process of human. The elderly group in country comprises
of people who are plus 60 and fall into the category of senior
citizens. In modern lifestyle senior people must live or desire to lead
an independent lifestyle, but at old age, People become prone to
different pain and accidents and also forget their works, so living
alone has high risk and is recurrent. Are you want to reduce the risk
,If
an elder people will face to accident or pain , that people’s
closed contact or guardian will get the message from that elder people
then easy to take the action during their pain or accident and also if
anyone remember what work will do at this time, that elder people feel
better. A growing amount of system and software is reported in recent
times on development of a system to monitor the activities of an elderly
person living alone so that can be provided before any unforeseen
situation happened.
In this work, the process followed for the development of a Senior citizen assistant system is presented. The proposed system has been designed to remember their usual woks, calendar works and what will doing at that time, monitor their pain or accident using some question & answer or catch some speaking words, and that system will recognize this person is not well condition then send the notification to closed contact via phone.
In
the reminder part, the closed contact or guardian update the timetable
from website, these data store into the database and system pull the
data from database
every 10 minutes.
In question & answer, every one hour system ask question to elder “Are you ok now?” and answer is no that system recognize that person not well then ask another question is “Are you send the notification to your guardian” and get the answer is yes system send notification to guardian.
In catch some speaking words, every time get the input as audio signal then convert into text that text contain help, ah, oh the system recognize that person face accident or pain and ask question “Are you want to send the notification to guardian” answer is yes then send the notification to guardian. With senior citizen assistant every elder can lead a comfortable life. I have been developing a system for improving comfortable elder people alone life by recognizing speaking words and remembering their works.
